Stitches.

Every baseball player earns a nickname in some way or another, most of the time lasting only a season at most. But if you earned it the way Steven did, it sticks around with you your entire career, no matter how young you are.

He's one of the only players in the history of the game to hit a baseball so hard that the stitches on the ball broke and the leather covering came off. But he's not just done it once. Or twice. But three times. It's an odd nickname, but he'll take it.
